Stacey has a passion and penchant for making sure every event is special.
From walking the grounds to matching the benefits of the venue to the budget, she creates a transparent and communicative relationship with every client and event.
Stacey spent three consecutive years living in Europe and experiencing the culture and design of England, France, Germany, Belgium and more, where she developed a love for antiques, scenic venues, and the photography. Once stateside again, Stacey utilized her newfound passions and her intrinsic organization and detail-oriented skills to host events for family and friends.
Requests for parties, showers, weddings and other events spearheaded by Stacey followed as a word of her talents and reputation as a well-rounded and uniquely capable host spread. Clientele broadened as the success of such events was burgeoned. After years of creating, managing and coordinating such events, from the food and decorations, to managing the guest list and keeping track of the budget, Stacey accepted a position with Azalea Cove bringing her expertise back to her home town to share with the community of Lake Martin.
Stacey Carroll was born and raised in Alexander City, Alabama. After meeting and marrying a military man, she spent 32 years traveling around the country and abroad before returning to Lake Martin, a place she has always loved.

April has a true passion for planning and exceeding all expectations.
She ensures her events are as unique and unforgettable as the people she plans them for.
April has been the owner of Lake Martin Wedding and Event Rentals for
the past 5 years, but she has been decorating and designing events for
most of her adult life. April comes from a family of artists and when she
has time she loves to paint and create driftwood art. She is an innovative
and creative event planner, and combines her winning personality,
attention to detail, and “out of the box” style to transform clients’ visions
into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
April’s love for decorating and design led her to expand her business
into full service special event planning that now includes Waterside,
Azalea Cove. She is a “one stop shop,” offering everything from event
rentals to florals, catering and more.
April Gamble was born and raised in a small town called New Site in
Alabama. She has 3 kids of her own plus two bonus children. She currently resides in Alexander City.

Steve was the visionary and co-founder of one of the first ecotourism companies in the world. As a world leader in nature travel, International Expeditions was at the forefront of the sustainability movement, using conservation and education based tourism to fund projects in tropical rainforest locations.
Steve has applied the same concepts practiced in ecotourism and sustainable travel to benefit his home state of Alabama. Forging collaborations with Alabama Tourism, he created the receptive tour company, Explore The South and Conservancy Travel which specialize in foreign travel.
Those who book at the Waterside on Lake Martin are the lucky beneficiaries of Steve's life's work with all the venue's stunning and meaningful live events curated just for you..
We Care About Our Community
Our leadership and staff at the Azalea Cove Waterside care about the community we live in and serve. We are proud supporters of many local, regional, and national non-profit, charitable organizations.
Waterside now a benefactor of Alexander City Arts, a supporter of the national charity United Way (Lake Martin Area United Way), Main Street Alexander City, and the Lake Martin Resource Association.
In addition, we are part of the new non-profit organization Back to Earth which supports autistic individuals and their families by providing hands-on innovative and inclusive educational opportunities, connecting individuals to the healing power of nature, and teaching skills that promote personal and economic autonomy with environmental sustainability.
Our marketing director, Steve Cox is the founder of the nonprofit, Center for Conservation and Community and also sits on the board of a brand new nonprofit, Contenu which supports caregivers in families who have to face end of life situations, and catastrophic illnesses of loved ones.
